history and mission

“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”

Journey Church of Western PA was founded April 22, 2012 for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Residing at our current location since October 2015, our mission is to disciple through the teachings of God’s Holy Word.  Our church exists soley for the purpose of bringing individuals to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Tenets of Faith

  • We believe that the Bible is inspired scripture of God, an all-sufficient, true source for Christian living.
    All Scripture is God-Breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
    Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth (John 17:17).
  • We believe in the one true living God revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    Faith in the incarnate Son of God (1 John 5).
  • We believe in Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ having no substitute or alternative.
    But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
    God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood - to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished (Romans 3:25).
  • We believe in the making of disciples through the teaching of God's word the Bible.
    Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
  • We believe the Church, by its pastors and spiritual elders, is ordained of God to discipline and instruct its members in matters of practical and scriptural living.
